Lasse Skovgaard

New Pipes: Lasse Skovgaard:
# 4 - A Lasse Danish take on the bent Dublin fused with a hint of the Tulip. What is interesting is that the shapes we today call Danish or Danish style are mostly variations of the classic English. But after the many years of Danish style we now look at them as a school in their own rightand each in and of itself

The below pipe is really quite removed from the classic idea of a Dublin and is really a pure Danish shape. What we should call it I am not sure, maybe just a bent ! The graining is wonderful and emphasizes the lines of the pipe. Not to ignore the comeplety Birdseye covere rim. This pipe makes clear why Lasse has become the most remarkable of the younger generation of the Danish pipe makerss. He is definitely is now among the masters.
