Abi Natur 'Cog' # 1045 *New*
Italian Ligurian Briar - Abi's pipe reminds of a ship, the a 'Cog', a Middle Ages cargo ship. The type of ship that Richard the Lionheart, or "Robin Hood" (The Lord of Locksley Hall) sailed back from the 3rd Crusade to Europe, on.

Abi takes this near Pot in a new direction with a canted bowl on a slightly flared shank. While not a deep bowl it is wide at 7/8". Being somewhat akin to a pot. It will sit on its side at 45 degrees, (it has twin bottom keels) and no ash falls out. A pipe that is unusual as expected from Abi, in a low keyed way and yet exceedingly pleasing to the eye and comfortable to hand. |
