Abi Natur Teardrop # 1033
Few pipe makers attempt high shanked pipes because it is very, very hard to get the drilling right. In most cases the air hole comes in high. And as a collector you accept it, if it talks to you. Kent Rasmussen studied some Raindrop's I had at Chicago, year sago. He took two to show Teddy Knudsen when he came back after a fair while, he said ...'a hard to pipe to drill properly'.... This is the 1st one I have ever seen with the drilling as near perfect. Also it is a spot on sitter & it passes a cleaner easily. I forgot to mention it is also a stunner.
This Raindrop/Teardrop with its somewhat Dublin bowl with a Tulip rim and its' usual square shank and matching semi-tanslucent makes an exceptionally good looking pipe.
