Northern Briars Cutter # 135 *New*
The Cutter was a shape made by Charatan, back when. I do not recall anybody else making them. The name came from sailing boat shape. In the UK you are never more than 50 miles from the sea. I had two and really liked the shape, plus they were sitters. What was good about this shape is it had thick walls in a regular sized pipe, keeping it cool. Ian has now brought it back, having cut his eye teeth on repairing them when an an apprentice. I will encourage him to make more.
He even had a new stamp made 'ROUGE', as this marked so. A really fine grained pipe with a double comfort stem. That makes the pipe lighter when clenched.
