Castello 'Old Antiquari' Billiard (KKKK) # 99
This is one of the better good sized Billiard pipes I have seen in a while. It follows the classic form of one of the oldest pipe shapes. Possibly the oldest shape. Nobody has yet provided a credible theory, legend, story etc. of how this shape was called a billiard. Though it is remains probably the most popular shape regardless of the maker.
Giancarlo Guidi, founder and creator of Ser Jacopo pipes would always set a new apprentice to make a billiard from scratch. If it was acceptable then he was hired on temporary basis. It has remained the test shape for aspiring pipe makers, everywhere.
