Northern Briars Bent Pot # 137
Northern England's popular bent pot. Similar in shaping to its cousin the Countryman. Both well regarded for the outdoors. Ideal for clenching as the bend gives it leverage making it lighter. The idea of these shapes was simply a sturdy pipe that could safely be smoked outdoors even when windy, drizzly or both together weather, which it regularly is in North Yorkshire. The thick walls protected it from burning hot or worse burnout. A wide diameter bowl insures a steady cool smoke and makes it easier to relight. A stolid pipe for adverse weather. This is a Group 5 size. Perfect Sitter.
