Condition: Smoked - no issues, not even any rim tar. One of the things I like about Castello is no matter what grade the pipe is they are all made from 10 year old briar, minimum. That is why they are known for their legendary smoking quality.
A shape 55 in a GGG is rare. Every few years Castello make a few. Then no more for a few years. To get an estate in this shape and size and near new is a unique confluence. This is the first GGG estate we have had in 5 years. It is certainly going to deliver a long cool session with wall this thick.
