Castello 'Old America' Biliard (8 of 20) # CE 212

OLD AMERICA - this year Castello made this Magnum sized Billiard # 8 of 20 limited edition pipes. It follows Castello's distinctive billiard style with its backward slope from shank to mouthpiece button. Plus it is a perfect sitter. All are very, very large.

This huge pipe with extremely good grain for a block this size.  The left side has birdseye in the center that flares into tight flame on diagonal axis', the right is covered in birdseye and as expected the front has crossgrain. There are some minor surface fissures on the left side. Not unusual in a large smooth briar of this size. See last picture.

Full it will go for a long time and stay cool throughout.
