David Huber "Fugu" # DH 5

This goodly sized Blowfish is an great example of David's skill and artistry making a pipe with sandblast ring grain and smooth sections. The large left side that flows into the shank is totally covered in tight birdseye. The smaller smooth right side is sunburst 'flame grain' Making an asymmetrical "Fugu' is difficult enough. To make it  two different finishes only makes it harder. David fuses all these design elements creating a beautiful & harmonious piece.

The stem is hand  made & further strengthening it is a bigger tenon than usual.
