Jose Rubio Straight Bulldog # JR 67

This is Jose's take on the classic straight Bulldog. For a smooth or a sandblast he will only use blocks that he can see will have great grain. He is consistently able to do this. His sandblasting is known for his deep ring grain that takes him 10-12 hrs to do. 

With this Bulldog, Jose created a heavily canted bowl so that the front bottom of it, below the two rings, sharply becomes a V shape with a keel. That extends right down to the end of the octagonal (6 side) shank with a two tone shank extension. The keel continues onto the stem 1/4 of the way then it transitions to a saddle stem. That lightens the weight and balance of the pipe. The stem is a Brindle (vulcanite).

Besides its beautiful shaping and staining it has thick walls with a relatively deep bowl that will deliver a cool session to hand and mouth.
