Manuel Shaabi # E 27
Manuel was originally from Lebanon and trained as a wood carver and mainly worked in Churches restoring, statues, wood relief carving, altar screens, etc. In 1979 he left Lebanon, then torn apart by civil war and moved to Germany. Shortly after he apprenticed at Dan Pipe.
Manuel Shaabi was the only pipemaker, ever, who had the skillsets of a wood carver, cabinetmaker and pipe maker. His pipes fused the European pipe design with a Middle Eastern aesthetic. He is now retired.
Condition: VG++. This big gorgeous pipe has no issues whatsoever. The pipe is near new and the stem is pristine. He made very few pipes with bamboo. This is rare pipe. Grade S1. Comes with sleeve and box.
