A wonderfully grained perfectly proportioned Lovat. He knows what a shape should be. Often a Lovat has parallel sides that doesn't differentiate it from a Billiard. Here the back of the bowl is has the outward flare as descends to the shank. The shank has a slimeness that gives the pipe a refinement befitting a shape for gentleman. The grain is uniformly flame grain around the bowl with birdseye on the bottom. After a few uses the grain contrast will increase and really pop.
