A Bit Of History: The name Lovat refers to the real Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat 15th, head of clan Fraser. Not the "Highlander" character. In WWII he led the commando BrigadeĀ HQ, 1st Special Service Brigade, Awarded: Distinguished Service Order, Military Cross. In a letter to Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill described him as "the handsomest man who ever cut a throat": Some claim it was his father 14th Lord Lovat, he who originated the pipe.
