Tatsuo Tajima Ball # 31
This is a smaller stander and held at an angle when smoking. Unusual as it is, very comfortable in hand and when you go to put it down it stands on its' base. The shape I would describe it as a ball on a vine.
Made with (Yūri-kinsai) the bowl is smooth with a gold leaf flecks totally covering it. The shank is carved with a few streaks of gold in the blast valleys. All well complimented by the dark black/grey/dark moss brindle stem.
It's a stander rather than a sitter.
