Abi Natur Bulldog # 1040
Abi's names this pipe, as his want, what it is - a Bulldog - his variation of the classic shape, and we see this superb pipe as an example of his reimagining the shape. The Bulldog was originated by the UK pipe makers in the great days - 1920- late 30's of British pipe making. This is not a big pipe pipe with thick walls to deliver a cool session. The shape has remained a classic popular shape. This is a very contemporary 21st C version. Notice it's slightly ovalized bowl with its almost tulip rim and diamond bent shank with tropical wood banding smoothly flowing into the stem. A Perfect sitter on it's flat bottom.
