Tatsuo Tajima # 12

This pipe the blast is done as Japanese Raku pottery style. In that technique the vase/pot/bowl is built up very carefully with coils of clay. In this pipe Tatu has blasted it to create the same effect except on the vertical not the horizontal. Perhaps this should be called blast carving as Tatu using a fine nozzle blaster & carves the rows following the grain, somewhat like Mike Butera did. What we have in this pipe is one that is not large but has has thick walls to deliver a cool smoke, even with flake. Actually it is a near certainty as a Castello shape 55. An absolutely superb piece. Sitter.
