Tatsuo Tajima Yūri-kinsai # 10

Every Tatu pipe shows its deep roots in Japanese culture. This smooth with a rugged plateau rim shows its Japanese origin as sort of an asymmetric  triangle. It has a keel running up the front of the bowl and both sides have been done with the 900 year old Japanese technique of Yūri-kinsai. The way of applying gold leaf on plates, pottery, sword scabbards, samurai armour, wood (includes pipes) etc. The shank and back of the bowl have been sandblasted.

The pipe is not large but has the thick walls typical of Volcano's that is nearest shape that it relates to. It will deliver a cool smoke. An absolutely jewel like piece. Sitter.
