Tatsuo Tajima # 16
In a way this pipe could be a Japanese Poker. The asymmetry of pipe is very much a Japanese signature. The bowl is a somewhat reverse Volcano if there was such a shape. With its multiple asymmetries, to - bottom, side - side, left - right, plus a few curves the briefest glance says Japan. With this distinctive look it all comes together in a well balanced way. Actually very well balanced as the pipe is a perfect sitter. Very unique. The pipe is both sandblasted and carved. The plateau rim and same end of shank have been finished with Yūri-kinsai - Japanese gold leaf flecks. The stem is a dark moss green brown.
This is a good sized pipe and large for a Japanese.
