Tatsuo Tajima Symmetrical Bent. # 35

This is a very symmetrical pipe for Tatsuo. Both the bowl & shank share a very triangular shaping with superb straight grain on both sides and tight birdseye totally covers the bowl front all the rim. The shank & back of the bowl is sandblasted and then treated with Yūri-kinsai, real gold flecks worked in to wood.  The rim has a  back lip that balances the shank end upswell.  One of the many elements fusing the shape, texture, different finishes to create harmonious whole.

With all its shaping it is well balanced in the hand and a perfect sitter.
