Tatsuo Tajima Collapsed Volcano # 42
This pipe I would consider as a Japanese collapsed Volcano. That is where a Volcano's rim has fallen inward. The shank is real bone that has a coating of real gold dust a where it joins the bowl & same on the briar end. An ancient Japanese technique.
The stain is flame grain sandblast. WIth the lines alternating between brown/gold and black. Creating a light dark contrast. The bottom is smooth & with excellent birdseye all over. The stem is Brindle.
Note: It's a perfect sitter.
